Huge thanks to Eagle Harbor Book Co. for hosting the launch party for my Jazz Age historical mystery, Relative Fortunes, on Pub Day, August 1. I was nervous but thrilled to see the large and enthusiastic audience that turned out to help me celebrate. Together we heralded the long-awaited arrival in print of my young Manhattan printer-sleuth, Julia Kydd.
It was a fun and festive evening that Julia would have thoroughly enjoyed—though she’d have sported a stunning cloche hat and sipped all evening on martinis of bootleg gin. Maybe next June, at the launch party for my sequel novel, Passing Fancies, festivities will include period costume and refreshments. . . .
